Abstract: SmartThings is an open ecosystem of connected devices with hundreds of millions of users around the globe. Using the SmartThings application, users can connect, control, and automate smart devices at home and on the go. SmartThings is compatible with thousands of smart devices including smart appliances and TVs from Samsung as well as many partner devices. In this talk, we will discuss how you can be part of this exciting journey—integrating existing products with our ecosystem using SmartThings Schema; creating smart interactions using SmartThings APIs; or connecting your ZigBee or Z-Wave devices with SmartThings hubs. While doing so, you can make sure that your devices are integrated into our platform securely by following our security principles. All these can be done through our developer workspace, which can be reached here.
